About Ming Coding

Ming Coding is a community based program focused on empowering young and old individuals and up-skilling them with Coding and other Digital skills to improve their lives and use the same skills to innovate and contribute to the economy.

Youth unemployment is one of the biggest challenges facing South Africa. Since 2020, we’ve been building an alternative to higher education: a 12- month free and paid training programme, that’s demand-driven, project based, Agile, and human-centred. Over 80% of the young people who enter our programme secure high-value jobs at top employers.We make sure you remain relevant and focused for the field. Furthermore from the very start of your course, you get individual attention. Not to mention resources and industry knowledge to separate you from the rest and make you hire-able and in demand! Our lecturers give you one on one training to insure successful understanding and a positive outlook on the subject. We make sure coding is fun for kids and interactive Thus we at School of IT give you the tools to succeed and to start earning! We are not just looking at unemployment, but the moving world to the digital spaces. As they say “Data is the new Oil”, we are using the latest cutting edge technology stacks and methodologies for our projects and programs, that includes Machine Learning models for creating predictive business models, IoT devices for collecting metrics to do aggregations and data science driven solutions. Ming coding is will be bring Hackathon events - “A hackathon is an event, typically lasting several days, where people come together to collaborate in order to solve a problem or identify new opportunities.” All hackathon challenges will be based on our daily challenges we face everyday as a community or as society. Overall our mission is simple; We want to share valuable market related knowledge, no frills no fuss. Thus we want to pass on our vast knowledge and empower people, that they grasp and get all required skills/expertise. Thus knowledge is power. In turn gives you confidence in the field. We want you to become internationally accredited and recognized including getting an industry job in under 12 months. We help our students create a code portfolio to demonstrate their skills to future employers and empower them to excel in their first interviews through our career coaching program.
